For years, Athenian Brewery has been fostering a powerful culture for responsible alcohol consumption and safe driving behavior by regularly carrying out a series of actions in order to inform consumers and raise awareness but also by related product campaigns. One such example would be Heineken’s campaign “When you drive, never drink”, in the context of its sustainable development and corporate responsibility.
In December 2020, the company carried out a webinar on “Responsible Distribution and Consumption of Alcohol” in collaboration with the Hellenic Bartenders Association and with the support of the non-governmental organization “Nifalioi-Stin Ygeia mas” (“Sobers – Cheers”), attended by bartenders from all over Greece.
In total, over 70 employees in the restaurant sector, were informed by certified trainers about alcohol-related issues and about the role of professionals regarding its proper distribution, considering that they are, one of the most important links of the alcohol sales chain. The seminar’s objective was to strengthen the joint effort to integrate social responsibility into the culture of Bartenders when serving alcohol.
The company organizes various events in collaboration with agencies and organizations, remaining faithful to its commitment to properly inform consumers about the importance and value of responsible drinking.
In addition to the legal and regulatory requirements, we are committed to take further actions regarding consumers’ information.
At the same time, at Athenian Brewery we constantly invest in the development of non-alcoholic products, which are increasingly gaining consumers’ attention. Our company has already an expanded portfolio, offering multiple options to consumers who do not wish to drink alcohol or who need to avoid it.
